Kuroshio Sea - 2nd largest aquarium tank in the world - (song is Please don't go by Barcelona)
This stunning YouTube video made my jaw drop. It was taken at one of the world’s largest aquariums. The Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium in Japan has one impressive exhibit.
The main tank is called the Kuroshio Sea. This single tank holds nearly two million gallons of water. That’s a tough number to visualize. Luckily, you don’t have to. The Kuroshio Sea has one of the largest viewing windows ever made.
The tank holds a beautiful array of fish, sharks and rays. The amazing size of the tank gives them space to roam.

Why Should a PASTOR'S Wife be Political?!
How can a pastor's wife be so political? First, I come by it organically, my family is devotedly Republican, thus my roots. People I love and deeply respect have become involved politically, and they have made a difference. Real experience has not jaded my perspective.
But why me? Don't I fear being divisive and offending people at church? Sure, that is a concern. But I make no apologies any more. (Even though I don't "talk politics" at church. I AM careful.)
But again, why?
When we moved to California, I attended a few community Republican meetings, to 'take the temperature' and see what was being said and done in California. What I saw eventually prompted me to emerge from the back of the room where I had sat silently watching and learning, eventually taking a leadership role in the particular organization I joined.
Again, why?
When we first arrived, Gray Davis was on the verge of what ultimately became a recall. Then, when Arnold became governator it was exciting to be part of all that; but subtley and deliberately, the tone in the Republican Party began to change... they needed to be more "inclusive" (oh oh, that's bad - code-words, code-words!!!) You see, up to that point, the Republican Party had been the only highly visible civic organization that was pro-life....but then began the pressure to "reform" the party. This was wrong, and I decided not to sit silently and allow it. One person who speaks to the best convictions in the room can make a tremendous difference in the direction a political organization takes; in this particular case, in El Dorado County, California. Saying uncomfortable truth makes a difference, it emboldens the squeamish.
So, as long as abortion is at issue, I will speak out. Liberal Feminists along with most Democrats, (you may be the exception, but until now, throughout the past thirty years, you have been shoved under the rug politically) anyway, these groups have transformed the womb, once the most benevolent place on earth, into an execution chamber for ONE out of EVERY FOUR BABIES.
And now they're trying to kill the old and feeble.
So when that changes, I'll shut up. Until then, forget about it.

Is Obama Poised to Cede US Sovereignty?
On October 14, Lord Christopher Monckton gave a presentation in St. Paul, MN on the subject of global warming. In this 4-minute excerpt from his speech, he issues a dire warning to all Americans regarding the United Nations Climate Change Treaty that is scheduled to be signed in Copenhagen in December 2009.
A draft of the treaty can be read here:
http://www.globalclimatescam.com/docu...
Page 18: Section 38 of the "Share vision for long-term cooperation action plan" contains the text for forming the new government.
Page 40: Section 46 Subsection H of the "Objectives, scope, and guiding principles" contains the text for enforcement and establishment of the rule of law.
There has been considerable debate raised about Monckton's conclusion that the Copenhagen Treaty would cede US sovereignty. His comments appear to be based upon his interpretation of the The Supremacy Clause in the US Constitution (Article VI, paragraph 2). This clause establishes the Constitution, Federal Statutes, and U.S. TREATIES as the supreme law of the land. Concerns have been raised in the past that a particularly ambitious treaty may supersede the US Constitution. In the 1950s, a constitutional amendment, known as the Bricker Amendment, was proposed in response to such fears, but it failed to pass. You can read more about the Bricker Amendment in a 1953 Time Magazine article:
http://www.time.com/time/magazine/art...,9171,806676-1,00.html
Lord Monckton served as a policy adviser to Margaret Thatcher. He has repeatedly challenged Al Gore to a debate to which Gore has refused. Monckton sued to stop Gore's film "An Inconvenient Truth" from being shown in British schools due to its inaccuracies. The judge found in-favor of Monckton, ordering 9 serious errors in the film to be corrected. Lord Monckton travels internationally in an attempt to educating the public about the myth of global warming.

Sympathy for the Devil October 01, 2009 By Robin of Berkeley
Robin of Berkeley is becoming my favorite columnist. Please take the time to read this.
How concerned should we be about Obama? Is he a potential dictator with a weird cult following who could destroy this country?
To put it more bluntly, does Obama have the potential for inflicting evil on us? Or, if he's a puppet, are the ones holding the strings malevolent?
These may be the most crucial and urgent questions of our times. Is Obamaphobia a legitimate reaction to an angry president with a vendetta, surrounded by psycho czars? Or is the imagination running amok?
Given that I have a stack of books on my desk about evil, let's take a look at how the experts define it.....(Continue article here)

Obama Isn’t “Cool” – He’s Cold and Ruthless by Mark Koenig
Obama Isn’t “Cool” – He’s Cold and Ruthless (Title linked to article. Please read.)
Tonight Bill O’Reilly had a segment of his show dealing with tomorrow’s 8-year anniversary of 9-11. Lt. Colonel Ralph Peters was O’Reilly’s guest, and commented about how unfortunate it is that the details and the horror of this pivotal event in American history have been muted and nearly forgotten in the minds of far too many Americans. Certainly, as Lt. Col. Peters observed, while the mainstream media has been loathe to remind viewers of the details regarding this horror, they have gleefully reported virtually any story about alleged assaults on the civil liberties of enemy combatants held at Guantanemo. Similarly, any opportunity to portray the recent Bush administration as corrupt has not been missed. Peters went further, stating that we now have a President who seems unconcerned with the pain or the lessons of 9-11.
When O’Reilly responded that saying this about Obama “might not be fair”, Lt. Colonel Peters responded:
“Well that’s YOUR opinion, Bill. After 8 years, we still haven’t rebuilt Ground Zero. Al Qaeda attacked us, not the Taliban. That’s who we should be going after.”
O’Reilly: ”So you don’t give the President any credit for continuing the war in Afghanistan?
Peters: ”None whatsoever. He made a campaign promise regarding Afghanistan, and now he’s confused by it.”....(Continue article here)

Perpetuum Jazzile - Africa (live, HQ)
This fun YouTube video features a 1980s pop classic. The rock band Toto scored their biggest hit with Africa in 1982. The song is instantly recognizable. But it has been reinvented.
Perpetuum Jazzile is an a cappella jazz choir from Slovenia. It’s hard to think of something further from an ‘80s rock band. But their version of Africa may best the original. The group has amazing voices.
But the beginning of this video is really striking. Group members simulate an African thunderstorm with their hands. It’s really something to see and hear.

Neda the martyred young Iranian woman whose death was captured for the world to see
In a passionate Wall Street Journal op-ed this morning (”Silence Has Consequences for Iran”), former Spanish Prime Minister José Aznar who, in case anyone cares, serves on the board of WSJ parent News Corp., says that “It would be a shame …. if our passivity gave carte blanche to a tyrannical regime to finish off the dissidents and persist with its revolutionary plans.”
Shaking off passivity requires visibility. America’s media establishment almost across the board is providing very little. The Associated Press and the New York Times reports exist, but their distribution is dwarfed by the death of a pop star and a governor’s infidelity.

Astronauts Launch New Pro-Life TV Commercial After CNN, NBC Reject Ads

July 16, 2009
Houston, TX (LifeNews.com) -- A pro-life group whose first two television commercials were rejected by NBC and CNN has unveiled a new ad that promote the potential of human life. The ads feature clips of astronaut Neil Armstrong and they have the support of top astronauts Dr. Joseph Kerwin and Gene Krantz.
Dr. Joseph Kerwin, the first American doctor in outer space, joined other former NASA greats yesterday at a press conference sponsored by the Catholic pro-life group Fidelis, the creator of the new advertisement and its popular web site CatholicVote.org.
The event commemorated both the fortieth anniversary of Apollo 11’s historic landing on the moon and the new ad buy from Fidelis.
“For thousands of years, man has looked at the moon and the stars in awe. But forty years ago, we did the unthinkable: We landed on the moon. This new ad by CatholicVote.org captures the spirit of this historic mission by highlighting the potential of human life,” Kerwin said.
Gene Krantz, best known as the flight director at mission control manager during Apollo 13, was also on hand to premiere the ad.
“Neil Armstrong will go down in history as one of the greatest explorers. His long journey to the moon started, as each of us started, with a small kick in our mother’s womb,” said Burch. “Today, we salute the astronauts of Apollo 11 and all other brave pioneers who give meaning to the potential of every human life.”
With today marking the anniversary of the liftoff of Apollo 11 and July 20 marking the anniversary of the first moonwalk, the new Fidelis pro-life commercial comes at an appropriate time.
"Next Monday, media outlets around the world will commemorate the historic achievement of Apollo 11. The courage and dedication of the astronauts aboard Apollo 11, and hundreds of others involved in our nation's space program make me proud of our great country," Kerwin added. "But most importantly, the achievements of the space program remind me of the potential of every human life."
"May we never cease to marvel at the gift, and potential of every human life," he concluded.
Retired astronaut Dr. Bill Thornton also joined Kerwin and Kranz at the press event.
Fidelis sponsored an ad that NBC and CNN rejected but that was viewed over 1.8 million times on the Internet thanks to the controversy generated by the censorship. A previous ad focused on adoption.

The Prodigal Son in Modern Life: The Return (1882) James Tissot 1836 – 1902
From: http://www.artbible.info/art/large/493.html
Tissot places the story of the prodigal son who returns to his father repenting in a contemporary context. The son's ship has just come in and his father awaits him at the quay.
Perhaps Tissot was inspired by this depiction of the story by Rembrandt. Here too the bystanders look on in silence, impressed by the scene. Twenty years earlier, Tissot made a Prodigal son set in Paris.
Tissot lived in London when he made this painting. He enjoyed spending time in the Port of London and often used it as a setting for his work.

Colbert Video: The Bible out of context
Here’s an entertaining video of Colbert defending the authenticity of the Bible. He actually does a great job and keeps it very funny as he goes.
The confused soul that plays Colbert’s guest in this clip is out promoting his new book, “Jesus Interrupted: Revealing the hidden contradictions in the Bible.” It’s one more sad example of how the tradition of interpreting the Bible out of context or using it as something that it’s not has done tremendous damage to the truth of Christianity.
Shoot - we now have an entire culture of even Christians who have taken it upon themselves to interpret Sacred Scripture independent of Sacred Tradition and the Church that gave it to us. And then they go out and come to their own fallible conclusions about it based solely on their own, personal authority. So I suppose we can’t be too surprised when non-believers claim to disprove Christianity using the same exact method. We need to rethink why we believe in the Bible in the first place.
Hope you enjoy the video!

THE Daily Record has uncovered the only CD ever made by Scotland’s singing sensation Susan Boyle…the Record can reveal she made her first recording back in 1999, when she sang blues ballad Cry Me A River for a charity CD.
Only 1000 copies of the disc were ever produced, but we’ve got hold of the long-forgotten recording and it’s now on our site. A showbiz insider said: “This is a real coup for the Record. The whole world would have wanted to find this.
“People will be scrambling to get their hands on this CD. They will be like gold dust soon.”

The White House mail office has confirmed it received a "deluge" of as many as 2.25 million red envelopes symbolizing the empty promise of lives snuffed out in abortion in a massive campaign that was larger than most White House mailing movements in the last 35 years.
White House mail worker "Steve" has handled letters for 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. for more than three decades. Every single package and letter destined for the White House goes through his office.
Asked if he has seen a flood of red envelopes bound for the White House, Steve chuckled.
"Uh, yes," he said emphatically. "Believe me, they made it here."...(article continues here)

Evangelical Lutheran Church and their pro choice stance
The following is a quote from: http://www.motherhoodinrealtime.com/2009/03/evangelical-lutheran-church-and-their.html
One of the saddest parts of my healing was being made aware that the church I was confirmed in was now an Evangelical Lutheran Churchof America (not to be confused with the Missouri Synod, Evangelical Lutheran Synod or Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod which don't share the viewpoint with the ELCA) . The ELCA stance (read here) on abortion is that in essence they are pro choice. It does state "A developing life in the womb does not have an absolute right to be born, nor does a pregnant woman have an absolute right to terminate a pregnancy...".(disturbing)...laws and church rules should be created to protect the innocent lives. In stating that "a developing life in the womb does not have an absolute right to be born.." and simultaneously saying a woman doesn't have an absolute right to end the pregnancy and yet further they state certain exception to allowing abortion..in essence PRO CHOICE. George Tiller (late term abortionist) belongs to this ELCA (read Here)...and CHRISTS HOSPITAL (read here)in chicago where Jill Stanek worked which basically was dumping late term born alive babies in the soiled linen closet is also an Evangelical Lutheran Church...There is a group called Lutherans for Life which is incredible in fighting for life. In any event, I believe that if one is being truly biblical there is no choice but life and that we will agree with Psalm 139 and know that God has knit us and we don't advocate for taking a life under any circumstances...
